There has been some talk behind the scenes and in the room regards to children. I have really only said that children can only be npc'ed. So I read RPO's rules regarding children and also grabbed their posted rules to paste here as I'm not sure how many people get a chance to look through rpo's boards and rules and whatnot. So here they are for clarification sake and to clear up any questions or concerns.
Regarding the Portrayal of Children on RPO as of 11/12/10
A clarification has been made to the rules regarding the portrayal of children in roleplay on Roleplay Oasis. Please read it and make sure that you are aware and follow it. Please note that the rule itself has not changed. This alteration is being made to make absolutely certain everyone understands the rule and the gravity of the reasons for it. If you have questions on how to apply the rule, please contact an admin and we’ll do our best to help you. The rule is now stated as follows:
There will be no underage players OR characters allowed. - Roleplay Oasis is an adult chat site. Children may be referred to in passing in posts on an NPC level, but may not be actual NPCs. Children are also not to be interacted with. This includes speaking to a child or making noises at a baby. (Hint: If you talk to them or they talk to you, they are characters or NPCs. Children cannot be played in these capacities on Roleplay Oasis.)
Unacceptable use:
Suzy came running up to me "Mommy, Mommy... Timmy fell in the well"
Acceptable use:
Suzy came running up to me and breathlessly told me that her little brother Timmy had fallen in the well
Even in passing, there are to be no storylines involving children in sexual or violent situations. Children are not to be harmed. Period. Bottom line… keep it tasteful as well as legal. If we have complaints about children being played, that go to the authorities, RPO can and would be shut down. We will not risk that for the sake of a storyline. You, as a typist, have control of the direction your storyline goes. If it risks the loss of all of RPO.... don't go there. It’s that simple. We want to keep our site, we love it, and if you love it you will just stick to these simple rules about underage characters.
Rule clarification as of 11/6/11
The additional information added to clarify this rule is in yellow. Please be aware of this rule.

Unacceptable example: Little Suzy came running into the house out of breath crying out, "Mommy, mommy… Timmy fell in the well!"
Acceptable example: Little Suzy came running into the house with a terrified look on her face. She was nearly breathless as she told me all about Timmy falling into the well.

Also, by extension, no sexual "Ageplay" or "Ageplay" references will be allowed on site.
No person on RPO is permitted to portray a person less than eighteen years of age or that has the appearance of being under eighteen years of age. (As an example, we will not accept a 1200 year old vampire in the body of a 14 year old.) Play of this type is not to be even referenced.
